Many women right here at home are challenged monthly due to lack of access to, or affordability of, feminine hygiene products.
Gather your friends, family and colleagues and start a collection drive for much needed feminine hygiene products for the women in our community. These products will later be distributed to women and girls in need at YXE Connects on May 15th.
Tampon Tuesday® is a registered trademark held by Bell Media. Thanks to the many volunteers and unions who helped to make the Saskatoon & District Labour Council’s 18th annual Labour Day BBQ a resounding success! Only a few of those are shown in the pictures below. We estimate about 1500 (maybe more!) community members enjoyed the 2500 burgers, 1500 hotdogs, CFM 553 live musical entertainment, children’s activities, treats, swag, balloons and more! Happy Labour Day!

The Saskatoon& District Labour Council extends our sympathy to the family of Brother Chad Wiklun. Chad was injured and later died earlier this week and is a yet another young worker who has succumbed to workplace injury. Chad leaves behind a family with young children. We also extend our condolences to the members of USW Local 7552 and all other miners across this province who share in this grief. “Mourn for the dead and continue to fight for living”.
